AS A PASS DELEGATE FOR JOE LIEBERMAN, GOOD FOR YOU! WE NEED A FRESH FACE.

GOOD LUCK!

I HAVE A QUESTION? WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON TRANSPORTATION IN DUPAGE? NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO GET FROM NAPERVILLE TO OAKBROOK FOR EXAMPLE? THE G.O.PER’S SEEN TO BE AT A LOST ON THIS ONE? THIS COULD HELP THOSE WHO SEEK WORK BUT CAN’T GET THERE DUE TO GAS PRICES?

-ROBERT JONES

……….DO YOU AGREE WE HAVE TO HOLD THE LINE ON PROP. TAXES IN DUPAGE?

Hello Robert! Thanks very much for visiting my site and showing interest in this race! I’d love to answer your questions.

As far as public transportation is concerned, I’m all in favor of both the proposed Blue Line extension into DuPage, as well as the STAR commuter rail line connecting the suburbs from north to south. Those are the best immediate inroads for making our public transport network more efficient. Looking into the future, I feel the County needs to parter with the RTA and Pace to create an effective public busing system. It’s not a change that could take place quickly, but through careful analysis of our road traffic, we could maximize the appeal of a bus system to move commuters along routes not supported by the rail lines. If you visit my “Platform” page, you will see more thoughts on this situation.

I definitely think our property taxes have reached the highest point that they should. What we see in Wheaton is a Board that habitually raises taxes and fees for County services, and continuously outspends the new money they have raised. The time has come to stop pinching pennies from the taxpayers’ wallets and give our County budget a thorough assessment. We can trim the fat, slim the bureaucracy, and make the County more fiscally responsible. After the budget crisis earlier this year, we have a duty to do just that.

DEAR FRIEND-

GOOD FOR YOU. I FEEL THESE PEOPLE ( THE CURRENT COUNTY BRD.) IS OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE PEOPLE. I FEEL THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT GET A CHECK! THIS GOSE FOR THE TOWNSHIP ALSO. THAT IS ANOTHER STORY OF COURSE. TO BE FAIR, THE FOREST PREVS. LOOK VERY NICE SO FAR.

WHAT I AM GETTING TO IS, WE NEED CHECKS AND BALANCES IN OUR SYSTEM TO STOP COURPTION IN COUNTY GOVERNMENT. I ALSO FEEL THAT AS CITIZENS, GIVE US SOME NEEDED TAX RELIEVE DURING THESE HARD TIMES! THE OTHER SIDE DOSE NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. RAISE TAXES AND SPEND OUT OF STYLE!!! TIME TO PUT BOB S. AND HIS TEAM ON NOTICE!

BEST SUCCESS,

ROBERT JONES

…………I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION? WHAT ABOUT THESE ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS GOING ON FOR EXAMPLE ON ARMY TRAIL RD?

I KNOW WE NEED TO UPDATE THE ROADWAYS AND BRIDGES? ARE THESE DONE ON A THREE OR FOUR BID STUDY AND VOTE FOR THE LOWEST, OR A ” KICK BACK DEAL” NOW?? AS A BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT I SAY, HUM INTERESTING???? YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO THAT.
